Invocation to the wrong deity

Diana needed help, but it was a burden that fell on her, since the danger was on Themyscira. She wasn't going to bother her companions with a personal problem so she didn't inform the League.

Or at least, she didn't think to ask for help until she realized that she required an experienced mage to perform a summoning. She could ask Zatana for help but she was on a journey, and Constantine was not an option. With a sigh she decided to contact Captain Marvel.

Her partner agreed to help her immediately, and with much reluctance on her mother's part (no one was happy with the Captain's participation but they accepted it) they managed to perform the summoning. Just in time, because one of the "evils" from Pandora's box had landed on their land.

Unfortunately, instead of summoning their old guide "Pandora", someone else appeared. A teenager in a star-spangled cloak looking around excitedly. Of course, no one was happy with such a development.

Except the summoned one, Danny was happy to leave his meeting with the Observants, the excuse of the summoning was always convenient.

I love that both Elizabeth Woodville and Elizabeth of York had grander coronations than their husbands <3

#This is especially true in EW's case as she got a formal presentation at Reading Abbey as well #which seems to have been more akin to a king's (Edward's own) acclamation than any queenly ritual #I also just read that EW's coronation was also the only Yorkist coronation to be celebrated with jousting #so that's fun <3 #and then you have people who claim Elizabeth of York's coronation was purposely delayed because Henry wanted to undermine her #Yeah for sure. More TF Adventures

So, as I said on my last post, I left to go see my pal for a good while. Well, it was supposed to be a good while, until a nasty case of gastroenteritis cut it short and landed me in the hospital twice. Big yikes. However, I'm feeling better now and can actually drink stuff, so I decided to lightly fix up the pics we managed to take with my friend before it all went down. It might not be very good considering I'm only like... half conscious in bed right now, but I tried my best.

Because guess what? We both got new TF figures!

Thinking about the idea that the 'first playthrough' of Dragon's Dogma 2 isn't actually the first playthrough solely because the Rivage Elder starts talking like he knows you, always picking up where he left off.

Which of course can just be chalked up to 'that's how he is' absolutely, but I think it's possibly way more fun to think actually, we might've been through this before and just don't remember.

#not using my big girl brain OR the tags im just turning the thots over like a boiled sweet on a cold winter day but #there is something to be said for the parallels between carla and liam / carla and lisa #more to the point specifically for today’s thoughts: carla telling lisa that she loves her and lisa not saying it back #even if it’s so obvious to we the viewers (and ofc with vicky’s confirmation) that she feels the same but is obviously struggling with it #rewatching those old scenes really put carla and liam into perspective as a thirty year old and not a thirteen-fourteen year old #but that she opens herself to him so completely and so immediately and even though he shows hesitation she doesn’t let it stop her #she tells him don’t worry you’ll get there because i know we’re meant to be i know this is right i know and i trust in us and in you #and then he goes back to maria #and now present day carla confessing her Big Feelings and lisa hesitates #and it’s like it’s happening all over again #she likes lisa more than lisa likes her #and she’s been here before and she knows what it means #and best case scenario it takes lisa another several months to come to terms with her feelings and now she’s just been told that she might #not have that long to wait #she needs in she needs security she needs immediacy she needs anything but hesitation #god though ESPECIALLY after liam was the one who carla brought up when discussing lost love with lisa and not peter #not paul #(haha bird joke)#idk it’s in my head like worms #rewatching those old liarla scenes last night was like a punch to the gut i forgot they went through all of what they did #and now again…… UGGGHH #anyway #not to say i’m concerned because i truly believe they’ll work this out the way they’ve worked everything out so far:#thoroughly and together #and i cannot waaaaait to watch #that’s it that’s my lunch hour thought of the day #coronation street spoilers

Sans Swarla Week

So this might end up being a terrible idea. But y’know what's also a terrible idea? Having a full week without looking at Carla and Lisa flailing around each other like fawns on frost. Especially with developments afoot on Friday👀

To try and fill that gap, I'm going to attempt a week of one-shots (a five day week because I will be travelling and may end up just crashing halfway through otherwise 🤪)

If anyone has any particular tropes/ideas/burning needs/wrongs to be righted, send them my way and I'll see what I can do from the suggestions I get 😁
